The Lubuskie voivodeship supports entrepreneurs, including exporters, offering services provided by the Investor Assistance Centre (IAC) and the Investor and Exporter Assistance Centre (IEAC) and numerous promotion programmes.

IEAC is an answer for the needs of exporters resulting from a lack of sufficient availability of complex information services in the scope of export and conducting investments outside Poland. The aim of the Lubuskie IEAC is to create an atmosphere encouraging growth of competitiveness of Lubuskie enterprises through facilitating availability to complex, high quality and free of charge IT services in the scope necessary for planning, organizing and conducting export activity outside Poland.

In IEAC, an entrepreneur shall receive information concerning the identification of a foreign market for a given type of commodity or service – is there a demand for a product offered by them; information about the clauses for use existing on the markets; they shall find a potential business customer database and information how to finance and secure their export activity. Thanks to that, a company can consciously choose a direction of their business activity. Due to newly established commercial contacts, they are able to extend their operation scope and have access to new technologies.

Within the IEAC activity, entrepreneurs can, for example, take advantage of: information meetings concerning the way of conducting export activity and EU funds for entrepreneurs in the new perspective, access to a foreign companies contact information database KOMPAS and a contact information database of foreign companies which have been looking for specific commodities in Poland. A company can also receive information about economic events, for example, foreign trade shows and exhibitions, economic missions from Poland and to Poland organized by specialized institutions. Moreover, it is possible to get information: about the clauses for use, export and investment conditions in foreign markets, and about industries and foreign markets from an international database of EUROMONITOR type, which includes statistical and marketing data about countries, markets, industries and companies as well as reports, industry specific materials, international analyses and market research.

A good example of the IEAC’s activity is a series of meetings for businessmen “Go outside the Lubuski region – be an export leader”. The subject of organized conferences were, among other issues, an export strategy and an effective cooperation with foreign partners as well as a possibility of financing export activity from EU funds.

Assistance programmes

Within the economic promotion programme (financed under the Lubuskie Regional Operational Program – the perspective 2007 – 2013) and their own activity, entrepreneurs from the Lubuskie voivodeship had an occasion to participate in some organized economic missions outside Poland (for example, to the USA, the UK or Denmark). Their trip was co-financed or financed from the funds of LROP. Companies could also take part in: forums, conferences and meetings held on the territory of the Lubuskie voivodeship with representatives of foreign business or representatives of foreign chambers of commerce.

A new promotion program of the Lubuskie voivodeship and its entrepreneurs is now being prepared for 2015. This program will include foreign missions to trade fairs as well as a mission of foreign businessmen and journalists to the Lubuskie voivodeship.

Within the new financial perspective of the EU – Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020 (POIR 14-20), there are funds provided for the support of the export activity development of Polish businessmen within the cohesion policy. There are grants and other financial instruments to be take advantage of. The EU funding level shall amount to about 85% for the Lubuskie voivodeship. Moreover, VAT in the projects financed from the EU funds shall be regarded as eligible cost, which means a possibility of refunding it.
